FROM THE INSIDE OUT
is going away
The winds are tearing it apart
There’s nothing above my head
But the sun shining bright
I haven’t counted the hours
since the day it got here
I had just finished the harvest
and suddenly I felt:
FEAR
Chilly winds started blowing
right away
And the light abruptly vanished
I was totally alone
in the farm
In my little wooden house
Far from others
Unreachable
Then I saw those blood-red eyes
contemplate
what my life had just became
Staring from the window
Smily, evil eyes
What was day right then was night
Lifelessness
Desperation came to stay
…
I could no longer take it anymore!
I was a prisoner in my own house
due to outside issues
I had to stop what was happening
And that would have to be from the inside out
…
Then I opened my heart and cried
To the one who has power over all things
He heard my humble cry
And now I see it:
The black cloud
is going away
The winds are tearing it apart
There’s no fear above my head
But the tender savior Christ
No more eyes of accusation
No more loneliness or night
The black cloud
is going away
The winds are tearing it apart
There’s nothing above my head
But the sun shining bright
by José Ruy Pimentel de Castro
beautiful imagery…
another breath taking piece.
Thanks for sharing!

That was very much heart felt, I could feel the pain you had to go through the darkness until you saw the light. No more fear…so well written and I enjoyed it. Thanks for linking with Potluck…Hugs x

I enjoyed the read, not only as a rememberance of the satisfaction yet sense of loss I felt when I did the harvest as a much younger man, but how you weaved it into what faith should mean – thanks!

Lovely representation of your faith. Jesus is that powerful, He sets the captives free. :))
